    Yeah, my name is Abby, Abby Normal. I'm out to save the world.. er, yeah. I work for a sort of Greenpeace for the supernatural world. Coexisting with humans, acting as a medic for hurt immortals. Thats me. I used to be human, till I had an unfortunate encounter with a gang of vampires. I was saved by my friend (douche bag) Jack Hayes. Much to my distaste, the council of Lamia vampire elders wouldnt allow a human to know about the "Night World" as they called it. Therefore, I was made into Jack's ghoul. I have to drink vampire blood to survive, I can barely go a couple days without it. Turns out the guy I was presented to was a huge waste of time, so now I find my life force going from vampire to vampire. Which is hard for me. Other than that, I'm clumsy and plain. I leave much to be desired as compared to the other vampire ghoul's. I can't talk to anyone that I find relatively attractive without blushing. I wear glasses despite the slight powers drinking vampire blood give me, jeans and hoodies are the only things in my wardrobe. I was frozen in time at the age of sixteen, so you'll be sorely disappointed at my figure and stature. I'm not gorgeous, never will be. I like to play the cello, one of the things I have picked up from one of the few nice vampires here.    The people who have raised me, in a strange twist of fate. Aara, my Camarilla older sister. She left the other purebloods with her brother, for a reason unknown to myself. Jagger is a Gangrel, a type of vampire that can transform into a werewolf type thing.. he is the natural enemy of Camarilla like Aara and Ash, but they continue to raise him regardless. Ash is Aaara's older brother. He is currently the leader of the Anarch's. I do as much as I can to keep his plans peaceful.  The Camarilla is a loose organization which ostensibly represents and protects all Kindred by enforcing The Masquerade. Camarilla policy is that vampires should try to fit in with and hide from the rest of humanity, as to easily feed on them. For this reason, they created a web of lies and misinformation, called the Masquerade, to make the public believe that supernatural beings like vampires could not possibly exist. The basic infrastructure of Vampire Life in New York: There are nine different factions in the hierarchy. They are (in order) Ventrue: The Ventrue are the leaders of the Camarilla because of all their money and power, regardless of what type of blood they have. Being the oldest Clan, it's no surprise they see themselves as the enforcers of tradition and the rightful leaders of vampire society. They remain the largest supporters of the Camarilla and the Masquerade, believing both institutions to be the surest means of protecting vampires from the mortal masses... and of guarding their own power. Tremere: They have a lot of knowledge in blood magic that they wont share with anyone else. They have a higher status because most are afraid of their different powers. Arguably the most powerful clan in modern times, despite being one of the youngest. Malkalvian: Vampires that rest on the eaves of insanity but are a core pillar of the Camarilla. They are vampires that can see the true intentions of others, whether mortal or not. The Malkavians have been the seers and oracles of the Kindred, bound by strange compulsions and insight. However, they're powers make it hard for them to communicate. Toreador: The Toreador envision themselves as artists and feel like they MUST wear the nicest clothes they can get. Also, they are the closest to humans. They don't need as much blood to survive, but this also means they feel a lot worse about impacting humanity. Their social flair and ability to convince others is easily their most devastating tactic, and they use it ruthlessly. Gangrel: Closest to the beast and are more likely to frenzy when low on blood. The bonus is being a shapeshifter. When a mortal speaks of a vampire turning into a wolf or a bat, she is probably referring to a Gangrel. Brujah: Are the leaders of the anarchs, and can feel the revolution coming. They hope to overthrow the Camarilla. Not much is known about them since they stay in hiding and are made of rogues from all the other factions. Nosferatu: Nasty looking things, because of their appearance break the masquerade simply by being seen. Being bound by the masquerade has made them naturally stealthy and they get more blood from rats and other animals. They also use the sewers to get around. Thin bloods: Half human, half vampire. Or any vampire that has any trace of human in their lineage. All vampires look down on this, even the Nosferatu. Ghouls: Humans that drink vampire blood and get slightly enhanced abilities. There isn't much other than that. They are generally bound to one vampire and meant to be their servant. Looked down on and treated as pets more than anything. A member of this faction is yours truly.
