How to decorate your SpaceHey profile with glitter
SpaceHey brought back the old MySpace profile, and with it the fun of making yours sparkle: a row of blinkies under your name, a glitter background, dividers between your boxes, your name in glitter letters. Every graphic on Glitter Graphics has the code for it ready.

About me: glitter, cats and music, in that order.
1 Where the code goes
On SpaceHey, open Edit Profile. The box About Me takes HTML - it is where people paste whole layouts - so that is where the codes below go: paste one where the graphic should show, and save. A code for a background is a style; it goes in About Me as well.
2 Blinkies and graphics
Pick a blinkie, a sparkle, a cute GIF - anything on Glitter Graphics - and open its page. Copy the box Copy this HTML code to your profile or website and paste it into About Me. The picture stays on Glitter Graphics, so there is no file to upload.
A whole row of blinkies under your name? Put their codes one after the other. The code of a graphic 130 pixels wide or
more - a blinkie is 150 - ends with a <br> and a small text link under the picture: leave those out for
a row, and the blinkies sit side by side and wrap to the next line. A neat wall of them is in
How to add blinkies to your Neocities page (step 4) - the code is the same on
SpaceHey - and How to put graphics side by side, or in the middle tells more.
3 A glitter background
The page of a background on Glitter Graphics gives a few lines of style instead of a picture: they repeat its tile over the whole page. Copy them and paste them into About Me. For the blue stars in the window above it is this:
<style>
body {
background-image: url('https://dl.glitter-graphics.net/pub/519/519821po41a2leng.gif');
background-attachment: fixed;
background-repeat: repeat;
}
</style>Copy the code from the page of the background you choose: its own address is in it. What each line does, and how to keep your words readable on all that glitter, is in How to give your page a glitter background. Has your layout a background already? Then the two may fight: take the background lines out of the layout, or put the glitter style after it.
4 Dividers between your boxes
A thin line of glitter between the parts of your profile: copy the code of a divider the same way. Most dividers are see-through and take on the color of what is behind them - a black one is lost on a dark layout, a white one on a light layout. How to pick one that shows on yours is in How to use glitter dividers (and why some do not show).
5 Your name in glitter letters
Type your name in the glitter text generator, pick a letter style, and copy the box Copy this HTML code (for your website, blog or Neocities page). Every letter is a little picture of its own, and together they link to the generator. Paste it at the top of About Me. All about the generator is in How to make glitter text.
Good to know
- Bigger blinkies on your profile? Exactly twice the size stays sharp: see How to show a small GIF bigger without blurring it.
- Your name on a graphic, or a blinkie of your own words: the Glitter Editor and the Blinkie Studio make them, and you save them as a GIF.
- The Online icons of the old MySpace days are here too: online now icons.
