I'm just in turmoil right now, my dad is being forced to go back to America because the UK Government lost his documents so we've paid out £1000 for a visa, it has been rejected, so we paid out another £1000 for another visa and it has been rejected again and this time, they kept his passport and said that he has 9 days before he gets removed from the country so we're trying to sort out finances and all sorts.
We've got an appeal at the moment on medical grounds.
My mum is ill therefore I rely on my dad to care for me because I'm mentally ill. My parents are legally responsible to care for me, by law, because I can be incapable of making decisions for myself at time therefore I need my dad here, in the UK to make them decisions for me because I can't at times. I'm appointing my parents under power of attorney so that if I am too ill to manage finances or to make decisions, they manage that for me.
I may never see my dad again. Neither my mum or dad has the money to visit the UK or the USA to see each other.
It'll be another few months to years before my dad can get through the process of coming back to live in the UK.
Lawyers have just been taking money and advising my parents incorrectly so we have no money and we're going to have financial problems once my dad leaves unless he gets a job in America and sends over money.
The Government said "Take your family with you to America" in the letter but me and my step brothers are UK citizens and so is my mum,we were all born in the UK except for my dad and my parents are married, we cannot just uproot, my step brothers live independently in the UK, we cannot leave them behind.
So the family is being split up now because we can't just go with him to America.
The government said that there is no hardship towards me and my twin because we're over 18.
It's ridiculous.
Sorry I've been ranting, I'm just so ticked off.
