I'm glad you like the sunflower tag.
No, our garden wasn't too great this year. SIGH!
We had a horrible drought. Our veggie gardens are
on a raised bed, so they drain really quickly. That
is a good thing during good weather...horrible during
a drought! We had a good crop of early veggies. Our
lettuce and peas were great. However, our zucchini,
green beans, etc. did poorly. Hubby planted a second
crop of zucchini and they did well, AFTER we finally
got some rain. Our tomatoes were okay. Our kholrabi
was good. So, in short...some did well and some didn't.
I don't can. I told hubby that I am too old to mess
with that anymore. I do freeze some things, but this
year we got just enough to serve. The only thing I
froze was rhubarb. It just wasn't a good year to be a
gardener. SIGH AGAIN!
