We shouldn't kill off species just because their fur is soft, we should preserve them if anything. Respect for these animals is what we need, we are animals ourselves and should honor the animals we consume for their sacrifice. I like my steak, I also like a good five-guy's burger, I also love animals, but I am not stupid enough to believe that we are all supposed to live like monks in a distant monastery because we refuse to do what nature intended us to do (continue the cycle). If we don't hunt deer then their population skyrockets and they start starving and dying of diseases from over-population. We have a niche (purpose/position in an ecosystem) and we should uphold it, not abuse it.
