As, for people who give thumbs down, I am with you that if someone doesn't like something, he can not vote for it or even comment. But, giving the thumbs down, make the owner feel that after what he's gone through to make something he wishes the other will appreciate, he found someone, disregard the efforts...

People have the right to show what they think, and disliking something or someone doesn't mean they're jealous... I don't like the way my history teacher teaches and that doesn't mean i'm jealous of her...
i agree that some people vote "thumbs down" when they don't like the person who did the graphic... but they usually do it when they don't like the graphic itself...
