I'm a 47 year old single mother of 3 beautiful, amazing kids. My son Glenn is 29, (30 January 13), oldest daughter Danielle is 18, (born on May Day), and my 'baby' Andrea is 13 (born on her Grandpa Millers b-day, and 2 days before mine). I have two beautiful grandchildren: Jasmine 6 yrs. & Jared will be 2 on September 13, which also happens to be my own mothers b-day.
I have also 'unofficially adopted' numerous kids over the years... many of my son's friends, many of Andi's friends: Brianna J., Jennie M., Becca D., Racheal J. & Taylor E., just to name a few, Andi's godsisters: Becca D.(yes, she is also a godsister), Jenny D., & Jackie S., and her step-brother Kyle too, and many of my friends kids,(Sandra S., Trista B., Shuntelle N.,& Amanda C..Yeah I still LUV you guys too, and I miss each one of you like crazy!!!). I have always loved kids so it just seemed natural that I kind of mother them all. I always wanted a huge family, with lots of kids running around. I didn't get alot of my own, so I stay involved with them as much as I can.
This summer I have my grandchildren most of the time. They are spending the summer with their dad, and since he works long hours, I am babysitting ALOT !!! It's been 12+ yrs. since I had to take care of a baby, and I can definately feel my age!! My kids were easy, cuz I taught them from the VERY beginning what they could touch, couldn't touch, play with, not play with, get into, not get into, where they could go, couldn't go.... Don't get me wrong, they are GOOD kids, they just don't know yet how Grandma does things!! LOL.
I have worked with Andi's softball team 2 seasons now, and loved every minute of it. Helping out at every practice, every game, working on their batting, fielding, catching, pitching, throwing .. taking care of sore muscles, scrapes, hurt feelings, insecurities, taking balls to the legs, chest, stomach, hips, arms, head .... running after over-thrown balls, throwing popflys & grounders... aching muscles ALL the time.. I wouldn't trade 1 minute of it for all the money in the world !!! I had soo much fun with the girls!!! They really made my summers two that I will always cherish. For any of you on my friends list, I LUV you, and to the rest I miss you ! I really hope to work with all of you next summer too. Even if I don't work with you at practices, I will be around as long as Andi is playing.
I have a double Associate In Applied Sciences degree for Computer Programming and Business Management from Southwestern Community College in Dowagiac, MI where I lived for just over six years from 1981 - 1988.
I love spending time with my kids, grandkids, friends, my animals, and of course all of my adopted kids too. I am involved in everything my baby girl does, which doesn't leave me a whole lot of time to myself, but when I do get a few minutes here and there, I enjoy doing most anything and most everything on the computer: surfing, playing euchre, downloading music, downloading graphics & images, editing and creating graphics and images of my own, talking to friends, taking quizzes and doing surveys. When I'm not on the computer, I enjoy reading books, crochet, drawing, fabric painting, making Christmas Ornaments, jigsaw puzzles, sewing, watching movies, coloring velvet posters with Andi, going for walks, & playing catch in the yard. I also plan on learning computer graphics design, web design, and computer game programming this winter when I have more time. (I don't spend time in chat rooms, & I HATE porn of all kinds!!)
