Dear Friends,
I am going to have to take a bit of a break from G-G.
I have somehow managed to injure my arm, rotator
cuff to elbow, and have severe tendonitis. I have quite
a bit of pain and it is worse when I try and spend time
at the keyboard. I am hoping, with the help of some
anti-inflamatory medications, that I will get better soon,
but it is not going to happen if I keep typing away! So,
please forgive me if you don't "see" as much of me as you
have in the past. I will not be voting and commenting as
much or sending out large amounts of messages, etc.
Please know that I love you all and hope to be back 100%
real soon. I would appreciate your good thoughts and prayers.
Big Hugs, Rita

January 21st - National Hug Day!
Wrap your arms around yourself...give a squeeze!
Then, while you are laughing at the idea...think of me,
and know that I would give you a big hug if I could, but
this is the best I can do today!
Here’s to the year
that’s almost past its expiration date—2009.
We all had some surprises, didn’t we?
Some good, some distressing.
Let’s use everything we got from our experiences,
everything we learned,
to enrich the new year.
Here’s to the new year, 2010,
a gift we haven’t opened yet.
May its bright, shiny package
contain even more than we hope for.
And even while we’re delighting in new treasures,
let’s appreciate fully what we already have—
the blessings we take for granted.
Make a list, and check it twice.
And here’s to all you wonderful people:
I hope in the new year
you see yourselves the way I see you:
intelligent, interesting, and true friends.
To 2010:
May it give a whole new meaning
to the phrase, "the good life."
Wishing you a safe and Happy New Year, may it be all you want.
"A happy New Year!
Grant that I may bring no tear to any eye when this New Year in time shall end.
Let it be said I've played the friend,
Have lived and loved and labored here,
And made of it a happy year."
~ Edgar Guest
I couldn't have said it any better myself!
I look forward to another year of friendship, Elena.
I won't be here much the next couple of days,
so I want to wish you blessings for the new year.
May you have good health and much happiness in 2010!
Hugs, Rita
"Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow.
The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true”
~ Alfred Lord Tennyson
Hi,
It won't be long now!
I hope everyone is looking forward to the new year.
I know that I certainly am.
I wish for you, what I always wish for you...
good health, much happiness and G-G fun!
Hugs, Rita
Thank you, Elena, for being a part of my winning the
profile page contest. It is because I chose lovely
graphics, like your pretty heart divider, that I won.
'Twas the night before Christmas, as I think of my friends.
My cards signed with love, as the day soon will end.
Reflecting on memories of a year about to close,
Your love is so precious; like a lovely red rose.
You listened to me talk, when I needed an ear.
You helped me to face, some of my greatest fears.
A confidant so trusting, I never had doubt.
You're comforting words, you always sent out.
Faith, you reminded me, to always hold tight,
And the promise of a new day, sunny and bright.
Encouraging words, coming straight from your heart.
"Tomorrow" you said, will give me a fresh start.
I pray God will grant you, what you've given to me.
For I'll always remember, when He answered my plea.
Merry Christmas to you, and a Happy New Year.
All the memories you gave me, I will always hold dear.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, may it be all you want, and full of great memories.
(((hugs))),
Handmade greeting cards are always so special.
I still have some of the precious Christmas cards
that my children made in school. They represent
love in/from the heart of the little artist. Your graphics,
left on my page, or personalized especially for me, are
also very special to me. So, thank you for all you have
made/personalized/shared with me this past year.
To those of you who celebrate Our Saviors birth, "I wish
a Blessed Christmas." To those of you of other faiths, I
wish "Season's Greetings." To all, I wish you love!
Hugs, Rita
