Backgrounds » Still » Earth viewed from low Orbit

This image was uploaded by leinad.
This image is a somewhat 'simple' creation I made by combining a 'screen shot' (Print Scrn SysRq) of a Windows98 SE screen saver file with a resized/cropped NASA composite image of earth's eastern hemisphere. The original NASA file (ev11605_globe_east_2048.jpg) was downloaded in Aug. of 2002. This uploaded image here was initially 'created' over a year later, in Nov. 2003, for my personal use as Desktop Wallpaper - subsequently re-edited (tweaked) by me in 2006. Microsoft may be somewhat nit-picky about the re-use of their Op-System's files... but since Windows98 has passed into 'legacy' (unsupported) status - I can't see any reason why I shouldn't share this image with the world now.
